How to Use the Dice Roller
- Keep the default 2d6 or choose a common dice preset.
- Select Roll dice.
- Read the total and each individual roll.

How the Dice Roller Works
For every die, the roller requests a cryptographically secure random value from the browser and maps it to an integer from 1 through the selected number of sides. Dice are generated independently, then added to produce the total.
Understanding Dice Notation
Dice notation uses NdS, where N is the number of dice and S is the number of sides. For example, 2d6 means two six-sided dice, 1d20 means one twenty-sided die, and 4d8 means four eight-sided dice.
2d6 Example and Probability
Two six-sided dice can total from 2 to 12. A total of 7 is the most common because six combinations produce it. Totals of 2 and 12 each have only one combination. The roller shows individual dice so you can verify the total.
